UConn men’s basketball Class of 2017 commit Zach Brown will transfer to Putnam Science Academy in Putnam, Connecticut, according to PSA head coach Tom Espinosa and a tweet from ESPN’s Adam Finkelstein. Brown committed to the Huskies.

Brown will join UConn commit and Class of 2016 power forward Mamadou Diarra as well as Hamidou Diallo, one of the Huskies’ top recruiting targets in the Class of 2017.

Brown’s legal guardian Michael Lipman also said that Brown will have the option to reclassify to 2016 in the summer and be eligible to join UConn next season, but only if he feels ready for it.
