Apparently Oct. 19 is national gin and tonic day, according to the national drink days calendar, so this week I decided to honor this important holiday. This drink follows another quick and easy recipe and serves one, so be sure to double, triple or do whatever you need to do if you’re planning on having company.
- Two ounces of gin
- Four ounces of tonic water
- One tablespoon of fresh lime juice
- One lime wedge
- Four cubes of ice
Put the four ice cubes in a glass and pour gin, tonic water and lime juice over them. Stir the drink well, garnish with a lime wedge and serve. For our underage readers, instead of celebrating gin and tonic day, I’m sorry to say that you will have to stick to just tonic.
