Music legends Prince and David Bowie both die.

After going big with the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, Apple announces they are going smaller once again with SE.

 Superhero films continue to dominate with “Batman v Superman,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Deadpool” “Suicide Squad” and “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

 Somehow billionaire businessman, Donald Trump, is running for the 2016 presidential race.

Things are highkey lit.

“Dark Knight Rises,” “The Avengers,” “The Hobbit,” “Pitch Perfect” and the “Hunger Games” staring Jennifer Lawrence all premiered in the summer.

Obama beat Mitt Romney in the presidential election and was reelected for #4moreyears.

Remember Kony 2012? Nonprofit organization Invisible Children launched the campaign to stop the leader of the Lord Resistance Army and to #MakeKonyFamous.

Apple released the iPhone 5.

“The Artist” won five academy awards, including best picture making it the first silent film since 1927 to win such award.
