Jon Bellion tabbed to headline Fall Concert

Jon Bellion will be this year’s headlining artist for the fall concert scheduled on Sept. 23 at the Student Union Terrace.

SUBOG announced the performer in a video published on their Facebook page Tuesday night.

Bellion may be better known by his guest vocals on the song “Beautiful Now” by Zedd. He has also written the chorus to “The Monster” by Rihanna ft. Eminem.

Although he’s been making music since 2011, the Long Island native recently released is debut album “The Human Condition” this past June. It debuted at number 5 on the US Billboard 200.

Bellion has said in numerous interviews, including on Z100’s Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, that his influencers are Kanye West, Coldplay, John Mayer and Andree 3000.

The fall concert is an annual tradition put on by SUBOG’s concert committee. Last year’s fall headliner was Nate Ruess, lead vocalist from the indie pop band Fun. and The Format.

Admission will be free for all UConn students and guests. All are welcomed to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Local student artists will open the concert.
