UConn, which was one of the worst teams in FBS last year, which owned possibly the worst defense of all time, is currently 10000/1 to win the 2019 college football national championship. You would have to bet just a dollar to win the equivalent of a new jet ski.
Dartmouth has played many of the same opponents as UConn, such as Maine who handed them a pair of 4-1 losses and New Hampshire who they lost to 2-0. They did beat Quinnipiac, who beat UConn 2-1, by the score of 3-2 in overtime.
The Huskies have played just one game in the month of October due to an off week and Hurricane Michael postponing a game at East Carolina. In their one game, the Huskies were dominant, defeating the previously 6-7-3 Cincinnati Bearcats 4-0.
Currently in the division one realm, athletes who have transferred schools must sit out an entire season unless they have already graduated or meet the standards for certain exceptions. While it serves as a deterrent from mass chaos, the transfer market continues to grow year after year.
Stop me if you’ve heard this before: The Huskies started out slow. Granted they’ve had an 11-day break for exams, but nevertheless, UConn looked sloppy early. Luckily for them this time, so did Arizona.
With day one of the UConn Heptathlon complete, the Huskies have four athletes in the top ten. The competitors took place in four out of the seven events on Thursday, the 60-meter dash, long jump, shot put and high jump.
UConn ended the Phil Knight Invitational with a 1-2 record. After their best game of the year on Thanksgiving night, the Huskies crumbled in the second half against Michigan State on Friday and didn’t even look like they came out to play against Arkansas on Sunday night.
The No. 24 UConn men’s soccer team finally scored their first goal of the season. A scoring drought spanning the season’s opening 200 minutes was broken when junior forward Abdou Mbacke Thiam ended Monday night’s contest against Quinnipiac with a goal four minutes into overtime.
With February coming to an end, the conference tournament is almost in view and the top five teams are all fighting for a first round bye, while the middle of the pack are vying for favorable matchups.
With early season tournaments in full swing, the American Athletic Conference was involved in the championships won this past week. Although UConn struggled in the Maui Jim Maui Invitational, Temple and Houston won titles in their respective tournaments.
