Over the past few weeks, in a story that sounds like something out of a Mary Shelley novel, scientists were able to restore signs of life in postmortem brains. These, of course, were pig brains and not human brains, and there was no sign of consciousness within them, but nonetheless this is a pretty wild story.
Body cam footage was released this Tuesday which contradicted the initial police story that Witherspoon “exited the car abruptly.” The video did, however, show Witherspoon exiting the car calmly, with his hands up. It also showed a police officer rushing out of his squad car and opening fire almost immediately, before running away down the street, continuing to fire recklessly. No weapons were found in the car. Witherspoon was arrested, but released hours later without being charged.
Students at Yale University can change their preferred gender, including to non-binary, in the Student Information System (SIS), according to a recent Yale Daily News article (students-can-now-register-as-non-binary-with-sis).
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating a claim that Yale University is discriminating against Asian-American students in its admission process, according to NBC Connecticut. The University of Connecticut Office of Admissions declined to comment on the investigation, Stephanie Reitz, University Spokesperson, said.
