Information Technology Services at the University of Connecticut has expanded wireless coverage in outdoor areas throughout the Storrs and regional campuses to better meet students’ needs.
After a four-month search, Gov. Ned Lamont appointed a new chairman to the University of Connecticut’s Board of Trustees on Thursday, Aug. 29. Lamont’s choice of chairman is Dan Toscano, a UConn alum from the class of 1987 and current financier in Darien, Connecticut.
Regardless of student status, all University of Connecticut students must pay an additional $500 annually, to offset construction costs for the new Recreational Center, according to University Communications Deputy Spokesperson, Mike Enright. Some UConn students however, have expressed contrasting views, bemoaning that the old Rec Center, though not Club Med standard, was satisfactory.
The University of Connecticut is looking for a graduate student to join the Board of Trustees for the Fall 2019 and Spring 2020 semesters. Intent to run and petition of nomination applications for the graduate student representative can be found online at the UConn Voting site, and are due by noon on Sept. 13.
