It’s a Saturday night in a crowded, sweaty basement. The heat radiating from people’s bodies is like a furnace. Rapper Ty Davis says into the microphone, “We’re leaving a legacy,” concluding the fifth and final set of the evening. It’s now past 1 a.m. Outside the house, the winter air is cold. Friends say their goodbyes and begin the journey back to their dorms and apartments. The artists who performed do the same. On Monday, they are back to being students at the University of Connecticut, attending classes, working on assignments and participating in extracurriculars.
