When I was in high school, I found myself constantly questioning who I was outside of softball. This was challenging, as I placed my self-worth in my performance in my sport for most of my high school career. I made it my mission to find my value outside of being a softball player.
My name is Carli Cutler, and I am a senior on the women’s softball team working toward my degree in Sport Management with a minor in Psychology. Playing softball at the University of Connecticut is a dream come true for me and the pride I feel wearing UConn across my chest every day is overwhelming.
This weekend saw some noteworthy performances from UConn athletics. The UConn women’s basketball team put up its second consecutive 100-point game, UConn softball went 3-1 down in Florida over the weekend, and the UConn women’s hockey team grabbed a win and a tie in a two-game set versus Vermont. Men’s Hockey also picked up a win over Merrimack in a 5-0 blowout.
