When I was in high school, I found myself constantly questioning who I was outside of softball. This was challenging, as I placed my self-worth in my performance in my sport for most of my high school career. I made it my mission to find my value outside of being a softball player.

Joe La Puma has always been interested in sneakers, music and pop culture. Since graduating from the University of Connecticut in 2005, he has turned that interest into a full-time job as the Vice President of Content Strategy at Complex Media, where he hosts a weekly video show called “Sneaker Shopping.”
