“UConn alumni, Victoria Slate (‘07) and her sister Rebecca (‘11) are half Japanese and were very involved with the cultural center in their time at UConn,” Sheila Kucko, assistant director at AsACC, said.
All undergraduate nominations for The Cohen Leadership Scholarship for Enhancing Community are due by Nov. 16; eligible students must be actively involved in a student organization according to The Cohen Scholarship website.
The award is open to undergraduate students in all majors from all campuses who plan on graduating in Dec. 2018 or later. Students can apply for funding of up to $4,000 to help them with summer research or creative projects.
