The University of Connecticut’s dining services will be offering students remaining on campus a prepackaged Thanksgiving meal next Wednesday ahead of the holiday, according to director C. Dennis Pierce.

“We realize that with more students who are international or more who are living in, for example, California, they may not have the money to go home for the Thanksgiving week,” Pierce said.

The Fall 2018 Thanksgiving break meal plan runs from Saturday, Nov. 17–Saturday, November 24, Reitz said.

Students who are staying on campus over Thanksgiving break need to register for a meal plan ahead of time, but housing will be relatively unaffected.

Students who will be staying on campus for break and wish to have their meal plan active during the break must fill out a form on the Dining Service’s website by Monday Nov. 20.

“The whole concept of meals during break…is if you have a valid meal plan…we’re going to give to you this gratis during the week,” Director of Dining Services Dennis Pierce said.
