More students are renting their books at a much lower cost, so fewer books are being brought back, Leonard Oser, manager of the UConn Bookstore, said. The textbook buyback has been smaller over the past few years, he said.
The start of a new school year is not necessarily the most fun experience, but it is certainly exciting and frequently eventful. As a returning student, you get to see your friends again and rehash old memories.
“This is a world class university and it needed a world class bookstore which it hasn’t had for quite some time,” Oser said. “Now it does, so we’re just proud to be able to have delivered it and can’t wait until everyone sees it for themselves.”
