Rapid Fire: Underrated graduation picture spots

This article suggests underrated spots on the UConn campus for graduating students to take photos in their caps and gowns. Illustration by Sarah Chantres/The Daily Campus

It’s that time of year when graduating seniors get their pictures taken in their caps and gowns as a memento of their time in college. University of Connecticut students will typically flock to places like Horsebarn Hill, the Jonathan the Husky statue outside of Gampel Pavilion or most notably, the UConn sign. But these locations can get pretty packed, leading to a need for more creative locations for graduation photos.

This week, we asked members of the opinion section: Where’s the most underrated location on campus to take graduation pictures?

Nell Srinath, Opinion Editor: Bookworms Cafe. This can’t be a surprise to anyone. It has all the charm of a high school cafeteria and yet none of us can deny that it was the diesel fuel of our college careers.

Dan Stark, Associate Opinion Editor: South Dining Hall so you can get Soop Doop to be in the pictures with you.

Tomàs Hinckley, Weekly Columnist: I do not, nor does the Daily Campus condone this, but one thing that would definitely be unique is ***** **** * ** *** ***** *******.

Luke Feeney, Weekly Columnist: Wherever you caused damage during the back-to-back riots.
