Over the past few years, the University of Connecticut has seen record breaking numbers in applicants and enrollment. This has included some of the most diverse classes in history, according to the previous university fact sheets.
For the fall 2024 semester, UConn found itself with 33,554 enrolled students overall, with 20,056 undergraduate students at the Storrs campus and 5,248 Undergraduate at regional campuses according to the recently released 2025 Fact Sheet.

There are also 8,250 graduate or professional students enrolled. This includes graduate students pursuing their master’s or doctorate, post grad law students, pharmacy students, medicine students and dental students.
These numbers show an increase in enrollment since the 2023-2024 academic year, as going into the 2023 fall semester, there were 32,332 enrolled students overall, according to the 2024 Fact Sheet. This is an increase of 1,222 students enrolled overall.
The numbers for student enrollment on Storrs campus, regional campuses, and graduate and professional students also saw increases since last year.
It was also found that more women attend UConn than men. According to the 2025 fact sheet, 54% of the undergraduate student population are female as well as 55% of the graduate and professional population.
Almost half of the undergraduate population of students are minorities, as 45% of undergraduates are part of a minority.
As for where enrolled students live, a large population of students live in Connecticut. According to the fact sheet, 73% of undergraduate students and 64% of graduate and professional students are Connecticut residents.
Only a small portion of both undergraduate and graduate students are international students as 7% of undergraduate students and 21% of graduate and professional students are from another country.
UConn has 14 schools and colleges with over 115 majors, according to the university website. Some schools are larger than others with different amounts of students pursuing majors in each.
For the Fall 2024 semester, the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences had the largest number of students pursuing majors in CLAS, with 10,953 students enrolled, according to the Student Enrollment Public page.
The School of Fine Arts has only 658 students enrolled.
The business, engineering and Academic Center for Exploratory Students schools and colleges are all similar sizes with 3,526 students enrolled in the School of Business, 3,628 students enrolled in the College of Engineering and 4,082 students enrolled in ACES.
