There are plenty of ways to get involved at The Daily Campus, from our editorial departments to our production team and business department. Here are some ways you can get involved. No prior experience is required and all majors are welcome to join.

If you enjoy writing or want to get some journalistic experience, you can join one of our four editorial departments:
News – Cover events happening on campus, report on administrative decisions and policies, work on investigative pieces and more. For more information, contact news editor Gabriella DeBenedictis.
Life – Cover on campus events by various student groups, attend lectures given by various departments, report on the happenings of student life and get a chance to write about arts and entertainment. For more information, contact life editor Julia Mancini.
Sports – Cover the various athletic teams at UConn, get a chance to talk to athletes and coaches, and have an opportunity to also write about professional sports. For more information, contact sports editor Andrew Morrison.
Opinion – Write op-eds on politics, foreign affairs, business, social issues and other events happening locally, nationally or internationally. For more information, contact opinion editor Harry Zehner.
Work with our photography department to get pictures of lectures, events, sporting events and everyday life at UConn. You can use your own equipment or use The Daily Campus’ cameras and lenses. For more information, contact photo editor Charlotte Lao.
Copy Editor – Review articles and designed pages for spelling, grammar, AP style and proper formatting. Position is compensated. For more information, contact managing editor Alex Houdeshell.
Designer – Work nightly shifts to put together the layout of the paper and design pages using InDesign. Previous experience with InDesign is preferred, but not required. Position is compensated. For more information, contact managing editor Alex Houdeshell.
Digital Producer – Work with our digital department to manage The Daily Campus website and other digital media efforts. Position is compensated. For more information contact digital editor Kimberly Nguyen.
Sales Representative – Work with the business department to find businesses, student groups and other clients that want to buy advertising in the paper or on dailycampus.com. For more information, contact business manager Julia Demarkey or advertising director David Fox.
