Storrs Center welcomed two new businesses into its ever-growing community this summer.
The Hair Cuttery moved into 1206 Storrs Road in Storrs Center, next to the Price Chopper parking lot. It opened its doors on Tuesday, July 14 and is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week.
According to manager Ashley Norman, the Hair Cuttery staff strives to give customers a full service experience.
“We offer everything for people of all ages and we do both men and women,” said Norman. “It’s a one-stop shop.”
Norman said the hair stylists want clients to feel welcomed and relaxed while receiving one of their many services.

“We focus a lot on our clients. We’re not trying to just get our clients in and out of here,” said Norman. “You’re not going to come in and just get a quick cut.”
There are over 1,000 Hair Cuttery locations throughout the country, and many are located near college campuses.
“We are available for people who live in the area as well as UConn students,” said Norman. “We’ve been doing really well so far.”
Norman said it’s the Hair Cuttery’s top priority to give their customers a pleasant experience.
Also new, Wingstop Storrs is located in the same building as the Hair Cuttery at 1206 Storrs Road. It is opened from 11 a.m. to midnight.
