Study on your phone, on the go: There’s an app for that

Flashcards+ by Chegg – Free

Using paper note cards is not only a hassle to keep organized, but also a waste of paper, time and money. When the test is over, all those cards end up in the trash. Isn’t there a better way to study without wasting all those trees?

Flashcards+ by Chegg has become the “notecard 2.0.” Available for both iOS and Android devices, Flashcards+ is your go to source for studying on the go. The app is even compatible with Apple watches (but don’t get any ideas about using it during your exam).

What makes Flashcards+ stand out is that the app not only allows you to create as many decks as you need, but you can also add pictures and audio clips to give your studying an upgrade.

Don’t feel like studying your own cards? You can always download another student’s onto your app from Cram.com. The app also allows you to back up all of your notecards for free across any iOS or Android device. So you can be studying from your phone to your MacBook to your Android tablet.

Have a language course? Flashcards+ has over 22 languages with support for pronunciations, dialect, and speech speed, so you’ll sound fluent in no time.

Flashcards+ is a fast, fun, and easy way to put your studying fears to rest with this innovative and interactive app.

Quizlet – Free

Enjoy the accessibility of Flashcards+’s interface, but wish you had more premade decks to choose from? Well Quizlet is your new best friend this semester.

Available for both iOS and Android devices, Quizlet lets you access all of the notecards from its website offline now in this new app. Just like Flashcards+, Quizlet gives you the option to make multiple decks, add photos and audio to cards, and lets studying be fun by testing your knowledge in different kinds of games.

Unlike Flashcards+, however, Quizlet is only available in 18 languages as opposed to Flashcards+’s 22. Regardless, Quizlet is always adding new languages periodically and the most recent one was Korean.

Quizlet also has the additional feature that not only can you share notecards between your fellow classmates, but your teacher can even send notecards out to the entire class.

All the decks can be backed up onto Quizlet.com and whatever decks you create on the website will instantly be available on your phone or tablet device.

Overall, whether you are studying for the SATs, GMATs, entrance exams, biology tests, Spanish quizzes or even just to test your memory, both Flashcards+ and Quizlet are indefensible and some of the best free notecard apps out there to help you do your best this semester.

  1. For some reason, this application on android does not work for me – when I try to log in, the application closes. What could it be?

    • Most likely some kind of bug, perhaps they did not test for possible application errors on android. It is necessary to recommend android testing https://u-tor.com/services/android-testing to the application developer. Android testing is a critical aspect of Android app development, as it helps ensure the quality and reliability of the app. By thoroughly testing the app, developers can catch and fix issues before they reach users, leading to a better user experience and increased user satisfaction.
