A toy drive in Middletown, Connecticut will bring together local charity, art, fashion, food and music to collect holiday gifts for Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots is a not-for-profit organization that collects toys during the months of October, November and December each year to distribute to less fortunate children. In 1995, the Secretary of Defense approved Toys for Tots as an official activity of the U.S. Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve, according to their website.

“Raising the Bars” will feature a fashion show put on by models from John Casablancas, a Connecticut modeling school, and several local fashion designers. GMoney from Hot 93.7 radio will announce the show, according to the event’s press release.

Musical guest “The Romantic Era” will perform as the event’s headliner. The group has been featured in People magazine and Buzzfeed Music, according to the press release.

Hip-hop artists Young Gwop and Klok Wize, artist Jordan Jones and model Kaylee Doll will also be among the community notables at the event.

“Raising the Bars,” will accept an unwrapped toy for donation to Toys for Tots or a $10 cover charge for entry into the event. The event will be held Dec. 10 at Camps Restaurant at 412 Main Street in Middletown, from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.
