UConn sophomore big man Steven Enoch has asked for his release to transfer, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Goodman Friday afternoon.

The 6-foot-11, 258-pound Enoch, who hails from Norwalk, Conn., appeared in 29 games this past season. Enoch averaged 3.4 points and 2.3 rebounds in 12.1 minutes per game. He reached double digits in scoring once in his career, scoring 15 points on 6-for-6 shooting in a 97-51 win over USF on Feb. 8.

UConn finished 16-17 this past season, with a 9-9 mark in American Athletic Conference action, and did not participate in postseason play.
