In Nov. 1979, Thomas Emhoff, a University of Connecticut maintenance worker, died after he fell down a library stairwell.
Upon arrival at Windham Community Memorial Hospital, Emhoff was pronounced dead. Emhoff’s death was ruled an accident, but as of the Nov. 27, 1979 publication of the Daily Campus article about his passing, the case was still open for investigation.
