The Town of Mansfield’s winter parking ban prohibits cars from occupying the streets of Storrs Road, Dog Lane, Royce Road and Wilbur Cross Way from midnight to 6 a.m. to better accommodate plows in the snow removal process through April 15, according to the town of Mansfield’s website.
Any cars found in violation of the winter parking ban will be subject to towing, according to Mansfield’s Motor Vehicle & Parking Ordinance, Section 182-3.
Cyclists are asked to refrain from leaving their bicycles in the path of snow removal crews, according to the town of Mansfield’s website. No legal consequences are enforced for not doing so.
The ban began on Nov. 1, according to the town of Mansfield’s website.
Parking at the University of Connecticut is subject to changes due to weather severity, according to the UConn parking services website. In the case of a winter storm event, UConn’s parking services may require that resident student permit holders relocate their vehicles to a set of alternate locations to facilitate snow removal.

Zeb Mrowka, second semester real estate major who commutes to campus weekly, said the town’s legislation negatively impacts him.
“I study late and have a lot of things going on,” Mrowka said. “This definitely throws a wrench in the works.”
