The Blue Bike rental program was set to relaunch in early April, 1968.

One hundred existing bikes, as well as 25 new, sturdier bikes would be available for students to rent and use.

Wally Marcus, the ASG (Associated Student Government) president at the time, urged students to be more careful with the bikes, as they had been mistreated in the past.

A new canoe rental option was also under consideration. Marcus was at work on giving students access to canoes to rent to take to lakes off campus.
