The men and women’s swimming and diving team compete in their last weekend of competition for the fall semester starting Friday at Wolff- Zackin Natatorium in Storrs. The men’s team has a record of 1-3 so far this season while the women’s team have a record of 3-2.

The Huskies have won all of their home meets so far this season but have not competed since before Thanksgiving break at the House of Champions meet on Nov. 16 in Indianapolis. At this meet, the men finished fourth and the women second with a new meet and school record set by Will Kearsey. The junior swam a time of 19.82 in the 50 freestyle to win the event and give the team 32 points.

Starting on Friday, Nov. 30 at 5 p.m., the Huskies will face Boston College followed by a dual meet with Boston University and Williams College on Saturday, Dec. 3 at 1 p.m. The BU men’s team have gone undefeated in their four meets so far this season so they may pose some competition for the Huskies. The BU women’s team have a record of 2-4 for their season.

This will be Williams College’s first meet against a division one school and they have only competed in two other meets so far this season against other division three teams. The BC Eagles recently competed in ACC/ Big Ten Challenge and came out with many personal records and some new BC records. The men’s team in particular came out strong, falling just five points behind the meet winner.

It should be an exciting weekend in Storrs. During Friday’s meet fans can participate in the annual Chuck A Duck competition. Fans can purchase a duck for $1 to throw into a float in the pool for a chance to win a prize. All proceeds will go towards the UConn Dance team’s trip to Nationals.
