As 2019’s Spring semester gets underway, the University of Connecticut’s annual internship and co-op week kicked off on Monday, Feb. 4, with the “Internship Showcase,” with more events and workshops for students seeking internships for the upcoming year.
Moving forward in the week, UConn is hosting a “Resume Lab” on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Electronic Classroom 1 of Homer Babbidge Library.
During the lab, students can improve their resume before the Internship and Co-op Fair, as well as learn how to start their resume, according to the Center for Career Development.
The Internship and Co-op Fair is to be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third floor of the Student Union. Students will have the opportunity to network with over 70 employers, according to the Center for Career Development.
Following the fair, students are invited to the “Interviewing 101 Webinar” on Thursday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the comfort of their own dorm. The webinar will include strategies for presenting in the best manner possible during a job interview, and can be streamed at CCD On Demand.
