After a long and challenging collegiate career, graduates deserve a memorable celebration for a job well done. Here are a few tips to celebrate the accomplishments of a recent college graduate and have an unforgettable party.

Throw a joint party

The friends you make in college have been through everything with you and having a joint party can be a fun way to celebrate together. Whether it be your roommates, your sorority sisters or any friends you have met along the way, celebrating together will give you one last night with your posse before you all go your own way.

Decorations and activities

Making sure guests and the graduate are entertained is the most important part of the celebration. Having guests write advice for the graduate can be a fun and useful activity that will provide tips for post-college life.

Decorating the venue with the college’s colors, their sorority/fraternity symbols or anything associated with a club/activity the graduate was involved in is a good way to reminisce about their on-campus involvement the past four years and makes it a more meaningful setting.

Put together a soundtrack of their favorite songs

Everyone knows a party is nothing without the music! Having a soundtrack of all the songs the graduate rocked out to during their four years will be sure to have everyone hitting the dance floor and having a good time.

Have a polaroid camera to capture pictures throughout the night

Polaroid cameras are a great way to remember the night. Whether it’s a selfie with your girl gang or a picture of your family, looking back on these pictures will put a smile on the graduate’s face. Once the party is over, putting all the pictures in an album will be a memory the graduate can hold on to.

Make a video memoir

Even though we all try to bury the pictures our freshmen year selves, looking back and reflecting on the timeline of your college career is a sentimental activity that is sure to generate both tears and laughs. This is also a great time to look back on their entire life as well, as there have been many years of memories leading up to this point.

Have guests write down their wishes

Post-grad life can be a little scary and intimidating as graduates are now expected to go out into the real world and start their adult lives. Having guests write down their well-wishes for the graduate’s future can provide comfort during this transition period and serve as a reminder that the graduate has an amazing support system with them at all times.

Whether the party is at a fancy venue or in the graduate’s apartment, having your friends and family celebrating this amazing achievement will make it great no matter what. Graduating college deserves a great party to commemorate an unforgettable four years and these tips are sure to make it a party the graduate will remember for many years.
