Due to inclement weather, the University of Connecticut’s Fall Involvement Fair has been postponed to Monday, Sept. 9.

Storrs is expected to see scattered thunderstorms from 2 to 4 p.m., thunderstorms from 4 to 6 p.m. and scattered thunderstorms again until 8 p.m., according to The Weather Channel.

Student groups who cannot attend on Monday are asked to email UConn’s SOLID Support Team by 4 p.m. Friday to cancel their spot.

UConn announced the postponement on various social media platforms Tuesday afternoon, but as of Tuesday evening had not sent out an email alerting students.

Fifth-semester political science major Erin Dennehy said she thinks UConn should make an official announcement, especially for the school’s freshmen.

“That’s one of the events that most of them – and I – looked forward to to find clubs,” Dennehy said. “If there is uncertainty around when it is, it might discourage people from going.”
