MLB: George Springer
Springer began his eighth playoff journey with the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday.

The club clinched the first-round bye week after defeating the Tampa Bay Rays 13-4 in their final regular-season game. This is the team’s first appearance in the divisional round since 2016.
Now, the Blue Jays stand tall against the New York Yankees, leading the five-game series 2-0.
In the first two meetings, Springer hit two of eight at-bats, scoring a run and reaching home base three times. In the fifth inning of Game 2, the 36-year-old notched his twentieth career playoff homerun versus the Yankees’ right-handed bullpen pitcher Will Warren.

In the squad’s 89-85 victory over the Phoenix Suns on July 16, the former Husky scored a game-winning shot from deep.
To add on, the guard exploded against the Houston Rockets, dropping 24 points. The 24-year-old knocked down two of three (66.7%) field goals and nailed six of nine (66.7%) attempts from beyond the arc.
