MLB:
George Springer
The Toronto Blue Jays fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-4 in extra innings in a jaw-dropping Game 7 of the 2025 World Series.
Springer, who played a key role for the team in the playoffs, performed in five of the seven matches. The veteran sustained a right-side muscle strain, forcing him to miss Games 4 and 5. This occurred while swinging at a pitch in Game 3.
The former Husky returned to action for Games 6 and 7 and knocked a combined total of five of 10 at-bats for a run, an RBI and three strikeouts.
Throughout the seven-game series, the right fielder averaged .261 with an on-base percentage of .334 and an on-base-plus-slugger percentage of .904.
NBA:
Stephon Castle:
This should come as no surprise, but Castle has been nothing but stellar for the San Antonio Spurs. In the team’s first six clashes, the 21-year-old has dropped 20-plus points in four of them.

Currently, the second-year player accumulates 20 points, slightly over six rebounds and a little more than five assists per meeting. Additionally, the young star leads the Spurs with just over five assists and nearly two steals per contest. When it comes to points per game, the guard sits behind forward Victor Wembanyama with 20 points.
With the help of Castle, the squad started the 2025-2026 stretch 5-0 for the first time in franchise history. However, the streak ended after losing to the Phoenix Suns 130-118 on Sunday.
Even though the Suns defeated the team, the former Husky still dominated the court. Within 34 minutes, the Georgia native contributed 26 points, seven boards, five assists, a block and two takeaways.
Castle buried eight of 11 (72.7%) field goals, splashed two of five (40%) shots from downtown and went four-for-four from the free throw line.
The Spurs will travel to face the Los Angeles Lakers tonight at 10 p.m. on ESPN.
Donovan Clingan:
Similar to Castle, Clingan has become an on-court problem for several teams. So far, the 21-year-old has averaged 9.5 points, 10 rebounds, slightly over two assists and almost 1.5 blocks per matchup. The former Husky also tops the Portland Trail Blazers with 10 boards and nearly 1.5 blocks per battle.
In the franchise’s 109-107 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Friday, Clingan racked up five points, snagged a season-high of 15 boards and dished out an assist.
The Connecticut native saw 24 minutes of play and converted two of five (40%) buckets from within the paint. The Center, who has totaled four successful three-pointers this year, tried knocking down three against the Nuggets, but missed them all.
The Trail Blazers clashed with the Lakers yesterday and will host the reigning 2024-2025 NBA champions, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Wednesday. Fans can stream tomorrow’s event on KUNP 16, with tipoff scheduled for 10 p.m.
Liam McNeeley:
McNeeley has continued to struggle to transfer his skills to the big leagues. In the Charlotte Hornets’ last two meetings, the rookie saw a total of 19 minutes and recorded three points.
On Sunday versus the Utah Jazz, the 20-year-old knocked down his only shot from long range. To add on, the former Husky grabbed a board and assisted once.
Within five appearances, McNeeley has produced three points, nearly 1.5 rebounds and about 1.5 assists per contest.
The Hornets travel to take on the New Orleans Pelicans tonight at 8 p.m. on Gulf Coast Sports.
Cam Spencer:

To begin the 2025-2026 campaign, Spencer has continued to grow and gain more minutes every game. In the season opener, the underdog saw just 12 minutes, whereas on Sunday, he played for 26 minutes.
Currently, the off-the-bench player contributes a little over seven points, almost 2.5 boards and nearly 3.5 assists per match.
In the Memphis Grizzlies’ recent 117-104 loss to the Toronto Raptors, Spencer posted four points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals. The guard cashed in one of six (16.7%) shots from beyond the arc and botched his only two-point attempt.
The Grizzlies welcomed the Detroit Pistons last night and will stay at home against the Houston Rockets on Wednesday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network Detroit or FanDuel Sports Network Southeast.
Jordan Hawkins:
To start the 2025-2026 run, Hawkins has faced challenges to gain momentum. Within five of the Pelicans’ six outings, the former Husky has averaged a little under 4.5 points per matchup.
In the franchise’s last two showings, the 23-year-old declined in production and saw a total of 15 minutes. Between the two games, the guard only tallied two points, which were earned from the free-throw line versus the Nuggets. In that same contest, Hawkins misfired four shots from downtown and one from the field.
The Pelicans host the Hornets tonight and will travel for three matches, with the Dallas Mavericks as their first stop on Wednesday. Tomorrow’s tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on KFAA-TV.
Andre Jackson Jr.:
Jackson Jr. has hardly seen the court, as he has only participated in two of the Milwaukee Bucks’ meetings. In the 23-year-old’s two appearances, the guard subbed in for a combined total of seven minutes and only had a steal.
The Bucks visited the Indiana Pacers last night and will stay on the road for tonight’s game against the Raptors. Tonight’s tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 on The Sports Network.
Tristen Newton:
Since the Minnesota Timberwolves waived Newton on Oct. 18, he has yet to sign with another team.
