Insomnia Cookies opens new Stamford location

Insomnia Cookies celebrated the grand opening of a new location in Stamford, Conn. on Jan. 17. 

The new store, located in The One Atlantic, an apartment complex in Stamford, is near the University of Connecticut Stamford campus and Sacred Heart University. 

“Insomnia Cookies looks forward to satisfying the indulgent cravings of UConn Stamford Huskies, Sacred Heart Pioneers, and Stamford cookie lovers alike with its warm, delicious cookies,” a Jan. 13 Insomnia Cookes press release read. 

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays; 11 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Thursdays and Fridays; 12 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Saturdays and 12 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Sundays. 

The opening marks Insomnia Cookie’s fourth location in Connecticut, including a location in Downtown Storrs near the UConn Storrs campus, and the 344th location nationwide, according to the press release. 

“From the Classic Chocolate Chunk cookie to favorites like Snickerdoodle and Confetti Deluxe, delicious Cookies IN Ice Cream flavors, decadent brookies, brownies, and blondies, a full slate of vegan options, and a frequently rotating limited-edition menu, the brand’s offerings satisfy every sweet tooth,” the press release read. 

The new location will offer delivery to customers at the UConn Stamford campus, Sacred Heart University and any surrounding neighborhoods.

“Here to the rescue when that craving for something sweet hits (even at 3 a.m.!), Insomnia Cookies offers in-store, pickup, and delivery options for customers to experience the company’s signature warm, delicious cookies,” the press release read. 

As part of the grand opening, Insomnia Cookies is offering free delivery with the code “STAMFORD” until Feb. 2 at 1 a.m. 

The Stamford location is also currently hiring “part-time cookie crew members, delivery drivers, and shift leaders,” according to the press release. Applications are being accepted at careers.insomniacookies.com

Insomnia Cookies was founded in 2003 by Seth Berkowitz. Berkowitz founded the brand while he was still a student at the University of Pennsylvania, when “late-night food options weren’t cutting it,” according to the company’s website

The company opened their first physical store in 2006, and since then have opened over 300 different locations across the U.S.
