A new amusement park will open at the Shoppes at Buckland Hills in Manchester this December.
The new additions, Ali Dream Land and Apex Adventure Park, are both owned by Angel Land, an indoor playground that has two other locations in the state at West Hartford and Stamford, according to its website.
Tom Kwok, the director of operation for Ali Dream Land and Apex Adventure Park, said in an email the parks are expected to open around mid-December.
“Ali Dream Land is for kids 8 years old and younger, and Apex Adventure Park is for anyone with a minimum height of 48 inches,” Kwok wrote.
Between both parks, families with kids in different age groups will have activities geared towards them.
Park-goers can expect to see giant ball pits, bumper cars, animal scooter rides, soft play structures and animal scooter rides for kids in Ali Dream Land, Kwok wrote.
“Apex will feature giant slides, trampoline park, ninja course and rock climbing,” he wrote.
Both parks have big features including a dream castle over 20 feet tall in Ali Dream Land and a giant slide at Apex Adventure Park, Kwok wrote. The parks, though owned by the same company, will require separate admissions payments.
Justin Roberts, the general manager of the Shoppes at Buckland Hills, said people will respond well to the new amusement park and attractions and that parks are located in the area that used to house Bob’s Stores.
Roberts said the deal to lease the area took place in November 2025. Ali Dream Land, aimed at younger kids, will be located on the first floor and the second floor will house Apex Adventure Land, aimed for a range of ages.
Each park will be around 40,000 square feet, Kwok said.
Roberts said opening the parks by December will be good since the winter weather won’t permit outside activities.
There has been some other new openings at Buckland Hills including L.A. Street Kitchen, which offers Latin American Street food, and a smash burger restaurant called Woosmash, Roberts said. Both options are located in the food court.
Another new addition to the mall is a restaurant called Istanbul Cafe, which is currently under construction. It will be located near Funny Bone and Hungry Pot.
The Angel Land website says birthday parties can be booked at the current parks in West Hartford and Stamford. Roberts said he believes that there will be space dedicated for parties at the new parks in Buckland Hills as well.
He said that the parks will also help other local businesses in the mall.
“We chose The Shoppes at Buckland Hills as our next Angel Land location because of its strong regional accessibility, family-oriented customer base and position as a premier shopping and entertainment destination in central Connecticut,” Kwok wrote.
