Men’s Basketball: Five-star recruit Jordan Page commits to UConn

Less than a month after securing a commitment from 247Sports’ No. 11 nationally ranked recruit, NaVorro Bowman Jr., UConn landed another major commitment, this time from another five-star prospect and the nation’s No. 10-ranked player.

Jordan Page, a 6-foot-5 small forward who can also play guard from IMG Academy, originally from Raleigh, North Carolina, averaged 19.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2 assists during his junior season.

Now, the talented prospect is officially UConn’s newest Husky.

Page made the announcement after IMG faced Wasatch Academy, where it lost in overtime, 91-84.

Page played for USA’s U16 and U17 National Team the past two summers. His standout game came in 2025 for the U16 squad at the AmeriCup in Juarez, Mexico where he put up 25 points on 10-for-12 shooting in just 16 minutes against Mexico.

This past summer at the 2026 FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup in Istanbul, Turkey, he started all six games, averaging 9.8 points, 2.2 assists and 1.7 rebounds.

Page also played for Garner Road in the adidas 3SSB Circuit this summer where he averaged 16.3 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game.

Page is a facilitating combo guard and forward who can do a little bit of everything. According to 247Sports, Page is a well-rounded athlete and is a force all over the court who doesn’t mind throwing it down in transition. He has a mid-range game if needed but needs to elevate his three-point numbers. Shooting just 22% from downtown and 72% from the charity stripe in 3SSB may need to increase if he wants to be lethal in Storrs.

Page visited UConn in mid-September, making it one of only two official visits he took alongside his hometown school, North Carolina.

Jayden Ross, listed at 6-foot-7, 205 pounds, serves as an ideal comparison for Page; both are high-energy defenders capable of exploding toward the rim. Although it is long down the road, if Ross can stay for a fifth year, the duo could be a great one-two punch on the wings for the Huskies.

Building around a returning core remains crucial to head coach Dan Hurley’s blueprint. If the Huskies can retain a strong core next season to pair with Page and Bowman Jr., UConn will be set up well for another deep March run.

“A lot of our success has been built around a returning big three,” Hurley said. “We bring in some high-level freshmen we believe in, and then we pick our spots in the portal.”
