Niina Petrokina won the Trialeti trophy on Saturday, Oct. 3 by 1.78 points after a clean skate in both programs. Her score of 205.94 was her lowest so far in 2026, but she kept her win streak alive, previously winning the Tallinn Open on Sept. 13 and Lombardia Trophy on Sept. 20.

After finishing fourth in the short program, Adeliia Petrosian skated clean and finished second overall due to her impressive free skate that saw her make up four points to Petrokina.

This was Petrosian’s second senior international competition of her career after skating in the Winter Olympics in February where she finished 6th. Besides the Olympics, she skated at the Russian National Championships since the 2021-22 season and has three wins and a third-place finish in those five years.

Petrosian is also skating with a new coach this season, Inna Goncharenko, after leaving the controversial Eteri Tutberidze in July.

Finishing third was Anna Frovola, who rounded out the podium for an AIN2 (Russia) 2-3. This was her second third place finish this season after making her senior international debut at the Kinoshita Group Cup in early September.

Following Frolova was Anastasiia Gubanova who made her season debut. Gubanova finished third in the short program and fifth in the free skate but was almost 14 points off Frolova in third. Gubanovas score of 189.31 marks her lowest since the 2026 European Championships when she finished with 184.36 points.

Viktoriia Safonova also made her season debut in Georgia, finishing in fifth with her highest international points total since the 2021 Denis Ten Memorial Challenge. Granted, Belarus, who Safonova skates for, hasn’t been able to enter international competitions since March 2022 following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Following Safonova was Inga Gurgenidze, who made her first Challenger Series appearance since the Denis Ten Memorial in 2022. Gurgenidze placed fifth in the short program and sixth in the free skate for a total score of 177.55. That score is her highest since the 2026 Dragon Trophy in January.

Despite falling, Breken Brezden rallied and finished seventh in her season debut with a personal best total score of 160.36. Brezden also competed in the 2024 Trophy Metropole Nice Cote d’Azur and the 2023 Cranberry Cup, finishing 10th and ninth in those respective competitions. She also placed 12th at the 2026 Canadian National Championships.

Finishing behind her Canadian teammate was Uliana Shiryaeva who scored a 152.54 after finishing eighth in the short program and ninth in the free skate. This was her first competition of the 2026-27 season. Her only major senior competition last season was the 2026 Canadian National Championships where she finished 11th. Her most recent ISU competition was the Grand Prix Skate Canada International in 2025 and her most recent ISU senior competition was the Denis Ten Memorial Challenge in 2024, where she finished fourth.

Erica Machida finished ninth for the USA. She made a four-place comeback in the free skate after placing 13th in the short program with a seventh-place free skate, which gave her 147.64 points. This was her first major international competition, having previously skated at the 2026 US National Championships, where she placed 18th, and the 2026 Santa Claus Cup, where she placed ninth.

To round out the top 10, Evelina Stavickyte scored 138.98 points and finished exactly 10th in the short program and free skate. This was Stavickytes’ second senior competition of her career after placing 13th at the Lombardia Trophy in September. She previously skated at the junior ranks in the 2025-26 season.

Chloe Levine, Mariia Dmitrieva, Salma Agamova and Mariia Arutiunian rounded out the final four places.
