Men’s Basketball: Top-40 recruit Juwan Durham commits to UConn

Juwan Durham, a top-40 recruit from the class of 2016 according to ESPN recruiting rankings, has committed to play at UConn, he announced on his Twitter account Tuesday afternoon.

The Tampa, Florida native – ranked No. 38 in the 2016 ESPN 100 – visited Storrs over the weekend and tweeted on Monday that he would be making a top-five list later this week. Durham, a 6-foot-9 power forward, never announced a top-five list, and instead verbally committed to the Huskies on Tuesday.

Durham also had offers from Florida, Florida State, Louisville, LSU, Miami (FL), South Carolina, South Florida and Texas A&M.

Kevin Ollie now has had three players verbally commit from the 2016 class. Durham will join Alterique Gilbert (No. 28) and Mamadou Diarra (No. 90).
