The Homecoming King and Queen contest had recently made its debut in Oct. 1980. Students could vote based solely on contestants’ pictures. The Women’s Center described the contest as being “objectifying.”

 

Oct. 9, 1992

Greek organizations came together on Oct. 9, 1992 to host a 24-hour long see-saw marathon. This ad outlines the event and the charities it was set to support.
