October is right around the corner, folks, and we aren’t the only ones who know that spooky season is upon us. Netflix is stuffing itself full of spooky movies this month perfect for your Halloween prep. From “The Shining” to “Blade” to several of Netflix’s own spooky creations, it’s going to be a great month for streaming. But fear not: If you aren’t a horror movie buff, the streaming platform has you covered and is adding a variety of comedies to make up for it. Here’s what is coming and leaving Netflix this month.

Most notably, October is full of Netflix original premieres. Season two of “Big Mouth” featuring John Mulaney and Nick Kroll comes out this Friday, Oct. 5, and Marvel’s “Daredevil” comes out with season three on Oct. 19.

Netflix is also gifting us with a variety of haunting originals just in time for Halloween. The month is full of spooky releases, but keep an eye out for when “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” comes out later this month on Oct. 26.

The producers of “Riverdale” created a Netflix original based on the story of “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” which takes place in the same universe as the “Archie” comics that inspired “Riverdale.” “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” takes on the premise of the original, light-hearted series but puts a dark spin on all the magic and occult the story contains. The trailer for it features demonic goat heads, a terrifying group of people at a dinner table and a creepy rendition of the happy birthday song playing throughout. It’ll definitely be an interesting watch.

On a lighter note, a lot of comedy pieces are coming to the streaming platform this month. “Billy Madison” has been added, along with two new comedy specials by Kevin Hart: “Laugh at my Pain” and “Seriously Funny.” Oct. 2 brings us “Monty Python: The Meaning of Life” and “Monty Python’s Life of Brian,” and “Adam Sandler 100% Fresh” will be available starting Oct. 23.

Other notable additions this month include “V for Vendetta” and “She’s Out of My League.”

But with every addition to Netflix comes the removal of something else. “The Adventures of Tintin,” “The Rugrats Movie,” “Freaks and Geeks” season one and “Scream 2” leave on Oct. 1. “The Human Centipede: First Sequence” leaves Oct. 2 (though, to be honest, good riddance), and “The BFG” leaves Oct. 6. Sadly, “90210” seasons one through five are leaving on Oct. 8, so you only have a few days left to binge the rest of it before it’s gone.

A few other movies are leaving later in the month. “The Babadook,” which was made into a meme last year after Netflix accidentally listed it under the “LGBT movies” category, will be taken off on Oct. 14. “The Secret Life of Pets” will be taken off on Oct. 22, and “Bridget Jones’s Baby” leaves Oct. 28.
