UConn grieves loss of student

The University of Connecticut is mourning the passing of Victor Moraru, who passed away on Monday.

Moraru, a sixth-semester in the ACES program, planned to pursue Marine Sciences, according to a Daily Digest post.

During his first year, Moraru was a member of the Innovation House Learning Community. He later went on to get involved with the Sailing Club, and the music and dance club B.A.I.L.E., which raises cultural awareness, according to the Daily Digest.

Services will be available on Thursday, August 27 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home in Meriden. Condolences to the Moraru family can also be sent to the Dean of Students Office.
