UConn seniors to display their art in annual exhibition

The University of Connecticut’s 2025 Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition will hold its opening reception on April 18 beginning at 6 p.m. in UConn’s Art Building, featuring the work of UConn seniors. 

The exhibition is an annual event held by the UConn Department of Art and Art History and will be taking place at 830 Bolton Rd, Storrs, according to a press release. After the initial reception, the exhibition will be open in the same location Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. until April 25. 

“Over the past few years, our collective efforts in keeping each other safe have paid off, and we 

are able to appreciate art in person once again,” the press release said. “Though diverse in subject matter and chosen media, the exhibition is unified through the dedication and passion we share for our respective studio practices.” 

The exhibition will have work from students concentrating in industrial design, graphic design, illustration and animation, painting and drawing, photography and video, printmaking and sculpture and ceramics, according to the press release. The work will also be featured on the exhibition’s Instagram page. 

In the past, the exhibition has also included media such as woodworking and virtual reality, according to an previous reporting by The Daily Campus. 

“We are proud to exhibit our work and share it with the community, and hope you enjoy what we have put together,” the press release said. 

UConn’s Bachelor of Fine Arts program is also currently hosting a senior exhibition for the Digital Media and Design major, located in the Jorgensen Gallery in the Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Titled “Brevity,” the DMD exhibition is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. throughout the week until April 25, according to the DMD website
