Friday’s portion of the meet will begin the Huskies’ sixth meet of the 2025 outdoor season – and second in Storrs. The team has made pitstops at Georgia Tech, Texas, North Carolina State and Alabama since its season began on March 21.

The men’s track and field team took second place in the first home meet of the season on April 4. The women’s team toppled the field, taking first place in what was a team picture on the podium for the Huskies.

The women’s 4x400m relay (Davis, Starr, Connors, Rosa), Caroline Webb (5000m) and Claire Paci (3000m) all won their respective events for the women’s team. A’liyah Thomas (100m hurdles), Danielle Adams (800m), Madison Relyea (1500m) and the 4x100m team (Dansby, James, Phillip, Claflin) all finished in the top three of their events.

William Watson took home gold for the men’s Huskies in the 110-meter hurdles, crashing the finish line at 14.41. The men’s 4x400m team also won its event with a time of 3:10.82, the tenth fastest time in program history in the event, according to UConn Track and Field.

The two-day meet will split the weekend for the Huskies. Friday’s slate consists of the heptathlon at 12 p.m. and decathlon at 12:30 p.m. on the multi side and the pole vault, discus, javelin and long jump in the field. Field events will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude after the men’s long jump, which begins at 3 p.m.

The latter of the decathlon and heptathlon events will also begin Saturday’s portion of the meet at 11 a.m. at the Sherman Sports Complex. The bulk of the track events make up Saturday’s remaining slate. The 3000m SC sounds off at 11 a.m., with events running until the conclusion of the men’s 4x400m relay at 5:45 p.m.

There are also field events on Saturday, with the high jump, shot put, hammer throw and triple jump all taking place between 1 and 3 p.m.

This weekend’s two-day long affair will be the last regular season home meet for the Huskies. The next time UConn returns to the Sherman Family Sports Complex will be for the BIG EAST Championships on May 15.
