MLB:
George Springer:
The Toronto Blue Jays defeated the Seattle Mariners 6-2 in Game 6 of the ALCS Finals on Sunday, deadlocking the series 3-3 and forcing Game 7.
In the Blue Jays’ tiebreaker, Springer underperformed. With four at-bats, the Connecticut native knocked a fielder’s choice, a flyout, and a groundout while also striking out in the bottom of the eighth inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, the Mariners walked the former Husky, which loaded the bases. This was one of three times Springer did not register a hit and the first time he didn’t notch a homerun against the Mariners in the playoffs.
So far in the 2025 postseason, the veteran has recorded 10 hits, with nine of them going yard. It should come as no surprise to see Springer smashing a dinger in the winner-takes-all matchup.
Currently, the designated hitter averages .231, with an on-base percentage of .294 and an on-base-plus-slugger percentage of .888.
With everything on the line, the Blue Jays stayed on the road versus the Mariners for Game 7 of the ALCS Finals yesterday. Stay tuned for updates in next week’s edition.
