Ah, yes. It’s the time of year when we recap the best and worst Halloween costumes from our favorite celebrities. Although you may have scraped together your costume last-minute, at least we can leave it to the celebs to go all out and really wow us every year.

When it comes to Halloween, Heidi Klum does not fool around. Known for her intricate and extravagant costumes, Klum went all out with a creepy and fleshy alien while her plus one, Tom Kaulitz, went as a dead astronaut. Heidi claims this costume took her around 10 hours to put on and documented the process at an Amazon bookstore in New York City. The couple also claims their costume even had a narrative to it. In an interview with People, Kaulitz said he “was in space looking for a new planet for humans to live on, right? I found this creature and I was like ‘Wow, she looks good.’ I brought her home.”

“Queer Eye” co-star Antoni Porowski and rumored-boyfriend Kevin Harrington went as two undead Blockbuster employees. The two wore old Blockbuster shirts, khakis and accessorized with spiderwebs, broken VHS tapes and popcorn bits.

S-s-s-s-s-s-mokin’! This year, Gigi Hadid went as Stanley Ipkiss from the 1994 movie “The Mask,” which starred Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz. The model wore this to Kendall Jenner’s Halloween party in New York and put a fashion forward spin on it; her yellow suit was by Italian fashion label Iceberg, paired with a matching wide-brimmed hat, Prada loafers and green face paint.

Halloween, “what like it’s hard?” This year, Kim Kardashian went as Elle Woods from the 2001 movie, “Legally Blonde.” The Kardashian even recreated the scene from the film where Elle Woods submits a video essay and posted it onto her YouTube page. This may be a response to the recent backlash when she passed her state bar exam to practice law.

The two Halloween enthusiasts went as the iconic duo, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen for Halloween this year by sporting blonde wigs and on-brand floor-length black dresses. They walked the red carpet as the Olsen twins for Heidi Klum’s 20th annual Halloween party and even occasionally puffed on cigarettes. The two made sure not to break character.

Groovy baby! This year, Patrick Schwarzenegger and his girlfriend Abby Champion went as Austin Powers and a Fembot from the 1997 film starring Mike Myers. The pair wore Austin’s signature blue suit and ruffle tie and a pink babydoll dress lingerie, respectively.

Wanna know how The Weeknd got these stains? For Halloween this year, The Weeknd rocked Jack Nicholson’s old-school Joker look from the 1989 Batman movie, wearing a purple jacket, plaid pants and even a cane. However, The Weeknd shared on Instagram the next day that he was still sporting the white face paint on his forehead and red face paint on his lips!
